Last week saw the opening of a new coffee shop in Umhlanga, Lola’s. Lola’s is a father-daughter run coffee shop next door to the Harley Davidson shop at Coastlands Hotel. Lisa and her father have a shared passion for great coffee, tasty food and the company of people.
Just imagine how excited I was to find out that their barista is Themba!!!! Themba has been a favourite Durban barista of mine for a while now, as he pours an incredibly creamy shot, topped with perfectly stressed milk.
Lola’s are pouring Jacksonville Coffee, a popular choice for Durban coffee shops. The Jacksonville blend is a medium/dark roast coffee, easy to drink and enjoyable for the everyday coffee drinker. The prices at Lola’s are so reasonable and they have a wide choice of espresso based coffee drinks.
To top it off Lola’s has the most delectable sweet table. The cake loving side of me thought I was in heaven as I drooled over the freshly baked cakes and sweet treats. I mean let’s be honest, how good does this look? All these treats are baked daily by Apple Daxie Cake Co.
